Return Policy
Replacement & Exchange Policy
This Replacement & Exchange Policy applies exclusively to purchases made through Akai India’s official website, www.akaiindia.in. By placing an order on this platform, the customer agrees to be legally bound by the terms stated herein. These provisions do not apply to purchases made through third-party e-commerce platforms, unauthorized resellers, or offline retail outlets.
Customers may raise a request for replacement within fifteen (15) calendar days from the date of delivery, subject to the product being in original factory condition and accompanied by all accessories, manuals, warranty cards, cables, and the original purchase invoice. Products must not show any signs of tampering, usage, damage, or unboxing prior to official verification, and must not be installed or moved from their original delivery location. Any deviation from these conditions will render the product ineligible.
For appliances—including but not limited to audio, air conditioners, televisions, washing machines and IFPDs—eligibility for replacement or exchange is strictly limited to verified manufacturing defects or physical damage discovered at the time of installation by an authorized Akai engineer. If the product is unboxed, installed, or relocated before official inspection by Akai engineer, all claims under this policy, including warranty, shall be rendered null and void.
Replacements or exchanges will be offered only in the case of verified manufacturing defects, physical damage at delivery (duly documented and approved), or incorrect shipments. Approved cases will be eligible for replacement with the same model or, subject to stock availability, an exchange for another model of equal or higher value. If the customer opts for a higher-value model, the price difference must be paid in full prior to dispatch. Exchanges for lower-value models or discretionary price refunds will not be entertained. Please note that Akai India does not provide return or refunds for any reason.
For bundled product purchases, replacements will only be issued if the entire bundle is returned. Partial return or replacement of individual items within a bundle is not permitted under any circumstances.
Products labelled as “Not for Sale,” clearance items, promotional giveaways, or personalized/customized items are strictly non-returnable and non-replaceable.
All approved replacements or exchanges will be processed within fifteen (15) to twenty (20) business days from the date of reverse pickup and successful inspection. Akai India shall not be held responsible for delays caused by logistics partners, third-party service providers, or force majeure circumstances.
All products sold on www.akaiindia.in are covered under Akai India’s standard warranty terms, as specified in the product documentation or warranty card. In case of any issue after the replacement window, the product will be handled as per the applicable warranty terms, which may include repair or other resolutions as determined by Akai India’s service team.
To initiate a request under this policy, customers must contact Akai India’s customer service team via email at akaicare@akaiindia.in or through the official helpline. Customers are strongly advised to retain their purchase invoice and register the product on the website to ensure smooth processing of after-sales support.
By completing a purchase on www.akaiindia.in, the customer acknowledges and accepts all terms of this Replacement & Exchange Policy and waives any right to dispute or reinterpret the same.

Cancellation Policy
This Cancellation Policy applies exclusively to purchases made through Akai India’s official website, www.akaiindia.in. By placing an order on this platform, the customer confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to the terms set forth herein.
Orders may only be cancelled prior to dispatch from Akai India’s warehouse. Once an order has been packed, shipped, or marked as “Out for Delivery,” it is no longer eligible for cancellation under any condition. Customers are therefore advised to make purchase decisions carefully. To initiate a cancellation request before dispatch, the customer must contact Akai India’s customer support promptly via email at akaicare@akai.in or through the designated helpline. All cancellation approvals are subject to real-time order status and internal validation by Akai India. If a cancellation is approved prior to dispatch, the order amount will be refunded to the original mode of payment within seven to ten business days.
No cancellations will be permitted for customised items, limited-edition products, promotional offerings, or any items marked as “Final Sale” or “Not for Sale.”
Customers must not refuse delivery unless expressly directed by Akai India’s support team. Any unauthorised refusal of delivery may result in account-level restrictions, denial of future orders, and withdrawal of customer support privileges. Self-arranged returns, informal handoffs, or third-party courier returns initiated without Akai India’s written approval shall not be accepted or acknowledged under any circumstance.
Akai India does not process refunds once an order has been dispatched. Only product replacements/exchanges will be considered, subject to Akai India’s Replacement & Exchange Policy.
If a cancellation request is raised after the order has been dispatched, it will only be considered under limited circumstances and solely at the discretion of Akai India. In such cases, the customer must bear the full cost of reverse logistics, including courier charges and applicable deductions. The product must remain completely unopened, unused, untampered, and in its original packaging for the cancellation request to be eligible for consideration.
If a customer seeks a replacement, they are required to contact Akai India’s support team immediately upon receiving the delivery. Replacements will be accepted only for products that are fully unopened, unused, untampered, and returned in original condition with complete and intact packaging. Approval of a replacement request is strictly subject to Akai India’s internal review and compliance verification.
For bundled product purchases, cancellation will only be accepted if the entire bundle is cancelledprior to dispatch. Partial cancellations of individual items within a bundle are not permitted under any circumstances.
In the event that Akai India is unable to fulfill an order due to product unavailability, stock limitations, or logistical challenges, the company reserves the right to cancel the order in full or in part. In such cases, the customer will be informed promptly and offered a suitable alternative model for replacement. Akai India shall not be held liable for order cancellations caused by force majeure events, technical failures, or operational circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
All decisions made by Akai India regarding cancellations, replacements, or refusals shall be final, non-negotiable, and binding. By transacting on www.akaiindia.in, the customer agrees to be governed by this Cancellation Policy, without exception.
